Jason Shockey's professional life began in 1993. After graduating from High School at the top 10% of his class, Jason joined the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from recruit training in Parris Island as the platoon honor graduate, the highest award. He was trained as an Aviation Electrician in Lemoore, CA and he graduated meritoriously at the top of his class. He served his country from 1993-1997, both domestically and abroad.

After his discharge from the military, Jason was employed with the United Parcel Service as a supervisor. Within six months of service, at 22 years old, Jason was managing and training half of the managers in his area, a privilege reserved for full-time managers with several years more experience.

Jason knew, however, that he could accomplish bigger and better things. He eventually moved to New York where he secured a position in a start-up office of one of the most successful media buying services in the country, Outdoor Vision. Jason and others help grow this New York office to $33 million in billings within three years. The company was sold to Carat North America, a division of Eagis, and Jason retired to Spain at the age of 27.

In 2004, Jason returned to the United States and co-founded The Great Outdoor Network. The Great Outdoor Network is a system designed to simplify the process of planning and buying outdoor advertising in the United States. Equipped with a Request for Proposal (RFP) tool and a comprehensive directory of companies, the network helped to drastically and efficiently minimize the time necessary to request, collect, and formulate data into a detailed, workable media plan.

The network is now used by colleges and universities worldwide as a primary resource tool for the Outdoor Advertising Industry. The network also recently launched the international version of its web site, which has been met with huge success. After funding the initial startup of the company, and leveraging key industry contacts to ensure the network’s success, Jason left the company with his brother Robert to pursue new goals and objectives.

At 30 years of age, Jason decided to pursue his lifelong goal of a higher education. His academic career began with his attending the Dale Carnegie Training in public speaking and human relations, where he graduated with the highest award of achievement. Jason used this initial success to propel him into academic life at Keiser University where he pursues his Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary studies. His sights are further set on a Masters degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Education/Business.

Jason enjoys serving others. He held the office of President of his Student Government Association in 2006-2007 where he led a feed the homeless event, participated in an MS Walk, and delivered speeches to visiting groups of high school students. Jason also met with State legislators as a spokesperson to protect the ABLE Grant for all students living in Florida. He did all of this while founding the Entrepreneur Club at Keiser University and the worldwide Student Network on Facebook. Jason is currently employed as a senior corporate trainer in direct sales and marketing for AT&T.
